Today is the day (THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2025) that marks the start of summer for me — Art Walk! Usually the first Thursday (or Friday) of June, downtown Ames gets so packed full of creativity to the point where it’s overwhelming. But instead of hiding like my introverted impulse, I am throw open my studio door and invite people into Jason and I’s workspace. Check out this fun grid we made for ArtWalk to show off all the botanical prints! I am so thrilled with this — thanks Jason for setting this up.
So if you’d like to stop up and see all these botanical paintings I’ve been posting the last 9 months in person — please do. I’ll be folding zines, listening to music, and of course, enjoying some tea. Jason & Lucy are going to be printing 3d things and giving them to curious folks.

Also a parking pro tip — ride the cyride over, the red line stops right at the Library. Or ride your bike! The day is amazingly perfect. Or park and walk. Wear those walking shoes so you can take in all the art you can stand and get thoroughly arted-out!
